Mirai Solutions was invited to be the guest presenter at the Julius Baer Scrum Masters Community of practice on January 27, 2025.
Agile and DevOps: A Fruitful Alliance
The topic of the presentation was the DevOps methodology with focus on its synergies with Agile software development. The event showed a solid turnout with around 100 participants, demonstrating a strong interest in the subject by the Scrum / Agile community. We introduced the core principles of DevOps, stressing the great impact that the automation of the software development lifecycle has on the quality of the final product. We talked about the role that scrum masters can play in the adoption and promotion of DevOps in established projects, elaborating specific examples.
DevSecOps aroused particular interest. We discussed approaches towards standardization of security frameworks across development teams.
We complemented the discussion with a practical exercise on GitLab cloud, in which we demonstrated tools for automation of development tasks, in particular task runners tools and pre-commit hooks.
